SkyWatch Friday: Desert View

During our recent Arizona trip, we drove down to the Saguaro National Forest near Tucson. The variety and beauty of all the cacti were just amazing. This scene reminded me of something you might see in an old "Western" - I half-expected to see John Wayne galloping into view against the big sky and hazy blue mountains. :-)

A rare sight, growing more rare all the time. A lovely skywatch, too.

It must have been nice to get out of all that cold for a time. This is a beautiful shot of the desert.

I love this! It's in total contrast to anything we can see in Northern Europe

I've been there too and it is indeed amazing. The cacti all looked a bit lonesome to me--and so big. This is a lovely photo and does the area justice.
happy new year!
